Scott Rainey proudly joins the Perfect Mix Studios team bringing nearly 25 years of industry experience to our recording facilities. As a recording engineer, producer, creative director, and artist, Scott has worked all over the country and has had the opportunity in working with some of the biggest names in music and sport. His real industry passion however is recording and producing projects for up and coming artists.
His client list consists of a who's who of some Indy's hottest bands (Virgin Millionaires, Mardelay, No One Zero, The Eclipse Band, American Bombshell, My Acumen, September Sky, Vestiges of Ecstasy, The Danny Isaacs Band, R.L. Johnson, Jer Gregg, Gypsy Harbor, Static 220, Mammoth Flynt, Cursed for Manners, Stepson, The Foster Portfolio, Casket of the Blistered Social, 5 Day Trip, Doctor Finger, Whoa Tiger, An Innocent Band and many more).
Scott started his production company, The Hit Department, in 2000 with his long time mentor JAD Porter of DVC, Inc. The Hit Department continued on in 2012 with a new identity (Digital Video Concepts) taking over operations of Video Production and media/disc duplication/replication services. Though Scott felt that with all the other technology and equipment taking up a larger footprint in his facility, the recording studio itself had no place grow. That is... until Now! The Hit Department Productions and Scott Rainey are proud to be a part of the Perfect Mix Studios family.
